TIAX is developing Safe-Pack™, which incorporates several cell-level and pack-level technologies to enhance the safety of Li-ion battery packs. TIAX is at the forefront of Li-ion battery safety research and development. Using perspective gained from investigation and post-mortem analyses of actual lithium-ion safety incidents, TIAX has used its lithium-ion technology expertise and a combination of simulations and experiments to develop a suite of safety-related technologies and cell/pack design approaches that enhance the safety of Li-ion battery packs for vehicle, military and/or portable electronics applications. The TIAX Safe-Pack incorporates technologies designed to mitigate, detect, intervene and contain Li-ion safety incidents.
