The TIAX Stirling heat pump replaces conventional electric, gas- or oil-fired furnaces. It can run on most liquid- or gaseous fuels such as natural gas, propone, diesel, biofuels and kerosene. The TIAX Stirling heat pump generates heat for forced hot air, forced hot water, and domestic hot water.
The TIAX heat pump is almost twice as efficient as the most efficient gas furnaces. The TIAX heat pump has a seasonal, fuel-fired heating efficiency up to 150 percent on a higher heating value (HHV) basis. The most efficient gas furnaces are 80 to 90 percent efficient. The TIAX heat pump uses the duplex Stirling thermodynamic cycle and a simple design to achieve this very high efficiency.
